Tour description

In May 2019, the program “Mit dem E-Bike über die Alpen” was broadcast in the series “Wunderschön” on WDR. Marco Schreyl, the presenter, cycled from Salzburg to Grado on our e-bike. We were allowed to organize the show and conceptualize it with the WDR team. In 2023, you can travel in the footsteps of Marco Schreyl, the tour corresponds exactly to the original on TV except for minor deviations: one week, 420 km, three countries. There is a lot to discover along the way: rugged mountains, the wild and romantic Gastein Valley with its thundering waterfalls, crystal-clear Carinthian lakes, dolce vita in Italy and, of course, the sea at the end. This cross-border cycle route has been in existence since 2012 and is fast becoming a classic.

Character of the route

The route mainly runs along well-maintained cycle paths and low-traffic side roads. The challenging section over the Luegg Pass can be shortened by train. The cycle tour is suitable for children aged 16 and over.
