The Prosecco region is characterized by conical, lush vineyard hills, framed by the Trevisan Alps to the north and the Piave plain to the south. It is a land full of fascination, history and art with often unexpected surprises in the valleys or in the many scattered patches and villages. One likes to get lost in search of the millenary traces of man and his culture. Viticulture has ancient roots here. The first written record associated with Prosecco dates back to 1772. Although there are sparkling wines everywhere in Italy, only the products of this region, made from the typical Prosecco grape, are allowed to bear the euphonious name of "Prosecco".
